SUPPORTING MAJESTIC WINE HP ENGAGE ONE POS ROLLOUT ACROSS 212 STORES
Majestic Wine is the United Kingdom’s largest wine retailer with an impressive portfolio of 210 stores across the UK and a further two stores in France.
Majestic Wine selected KFP to provide the configuration and installation services of the new front of house point-of-sale checkouts across their entire retail estate deploying two POS and payment stations per store.
KFP’s strong vendor relationships and in-depth industry experience meant that they were able to work alongside HP and Ergonomic Solutions to provide a seamless transition from Majestic Wines’ existing and aged POS hardware to the new HP Engage One.

Majestic Wine benefited from having a Retail IT partner with the relevant experience in both hardware and retail software but was also available to go above and beyond to make the rollout a success. The key to the success of the project resulted in KFP needing to be reliable, resourceful and highly flexible in order to meet the project demands and with the proviso that all works were completed before the commencement of Majestic Wines peak trading period.

With over 20 years’ experience in providing retail IT projects, we were confident that not only could we provide Majestic Wine with a full scale 210 store POS rollout including (cabling, installation, procurement, and helpdesk support) but we could achieve it well within budget and time scales.
Each KFP department worked together in order to ensure the end result was nothing short of excellent. Procurement working together with sales and the projects team communication to our installation engineers. KFP working together as one is what made the project so successful.
Ergonomic Solutions
Ergonomic Solutions is an established, leading global supplier of innovative and ergonomically designed technology mounting solutions were selected to support the KFP installation. Providing a customised solution including payment terminal mounts for the Ingenico iCT250 payment device and an elbow arm POS mount for the HP Engage One touchscreen for in-store customer engagement at the 420 POS and payment stations.

HP is one of the market leaders supplying end to end retail POS technology solutions and they facilitated in our project rollout out for Majestic Wine by providing KFP with modern, durable and flexible HP Engage POS terminals for 212 stores. With many years of partnership, the procurement of the HP terminals was quick and efficient leading to project completion in time with minimal disruption to Majestic Wine customers.
The HP Engage One is a POS technology that is top of its game including its aesthetics providing an appealing, sleek, modern and adapted design streamlined for an amazing retail experience.

Throughout the project, KFP worked hard to minimise the impact on trading in all situations. Not only do we undertake rigorous pre-delivery checks and ghost applications for fast and efficient installation, but we also work in partnership with key suppliers to ensure there is no unexpected loss of trade throughout.
The large scale rollout was officially completed in mid-October 2018 and KFP will continue to support Majestic Wine with IT support as it continues to grow and expand within an impressive marketplace over the next three years.
